daily bread

God makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet. He showed Moses how he went about his work, opened up his plans to all Israel. God is sheer mercy and grace; not easily angered, he’s rich in love. He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges forever. He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs. As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him. And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins. As parents feel for their children, God feels for those who fear him. He knows us inside and out, keeps in mind that we’re made of mud. Men and women don’t live very long; like wildflowers they spring up and blossom, But a storm snuffs them out just as quickly, leaving nothing to show they were here. God’s love, though, is ever and always, eternally present to all who fear him, Making everything right for them and their children as they follow his Covenant ways and remember to do whatever he said.Psalm 103:13MSG

As I was going to look for the verse on BibleGateway.com Psalm 103:13 appeared to me. When I tell you I love the Bible. I am at this point in my ministry where I am really falling in love with Jesus.

My ministry is to make us real Christians again. You may ask … well what does that mean? It means that we fear God, live a quiet life, and that we are saved in childbearing.

Today I hope that you focus on the word of the LORD and know that He will keep you in perfect peace because that is who He is. The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 New Living Translation (NLT)

For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
    And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor,[a] Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

mind your own business

Whew. Let me say something right now. I love this particular verse in The Message Bible .

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 Stay calm; mind your own business; do your own job. You’ve heard all this from us before, but a reminder never hurts. We want you living in a way that will command the respect of outsiders, not lying around sponging off your friends.

Years ago God gave me this verse to read while I was in the military. At first, I believed that God was just dealing with me about the fact that I literally HAD to cease entertaining bad company who gossip. Now I see that God was saying that and something more, as He always will.

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. What does this mean?

  1. (Confess: I need this to) Stop looking at gossip sites on social media. Social media can be a great way to share a image, post Bible verses, and even plan for a family reunion. However, when you don’t have self-control and can become a waste of time. You will find yourself caught up in the world of a small time celebrity or a demonic person (a rapper or singer) who does not know your nor cares about your well being. Or something worse can happen, you could be caught in fantasies about someone you don’t know. This is why the Holy Spirit tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4 to mind your own business. It’s good for you.
  2. A deception that some believers face is believing that they don’t have to work. The Word of God says in Proverbs 6:6-11 You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two. Nobody has to tell it what to do. All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions. So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing? How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy-do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!
  3. Sometimes we are so mean and we walk in the spirit of offense when someone reminds of what we are supposed to be doing. Have you ever considered that maybe that person that tried to remind you of what you should be doing was sent by God? The next time someone tries to remind of you something keep this verse (from the New Living Translation) in your soul Psalm 105:15 “Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.”
  4. Everyone is not out to get you. There are people who want you living the good life. This is the thing. The people who want you living the good life FEAR GOD. There are people who smile at you but there heart is not with you because they do not fear God. I suggest you fast and pray for God to reveal these people so you don’t waste your time. Proverbs 9 MSG Lady Wisdom Gives a Dinner Party 1-6 Lady Wisdom has built and furnished her home; its supported by seven hewn timbers. The banquet meal is ready to be served: lamb roasted, wine poured out, table set with silver and flowers. Having dismissed her serving maids, Lady Wisdom goes to town, stands in a prominent place, and invites everyone within sound of her voice: “Are you confused about life, don’t know what’s going on? Come with me, oh come, have dinner with me! I’ve prepared a wonderful spread- fresh-baked bread, roast lamb, carefully selected wines. Leave your impoverished confusion and live! Walk up the street to a life with meaning.” 7-12 If you reason with an arrogant cynic, you’ll get slapped in the face; confront bad behavior and get a kick in the shins. So don’t waste your time on a scoffer; all you’ll get for your pains is abuse. But if you correct those who care about life, that’s different-they’ll love you for it! Save your breath for the wise-they’ll be wiser for it; tell good people what you know-they’ll profit from it. Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of-God, insight into life from knowing a Holy God. It’s through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens, and the years of your life ripen. Live wisely and wisdom will permeate your life; mock life and life will mock you.
  5. If you follow this verse it will command the respect of others. That’s the good life. If you struggle with being lazy you need to repent and ask God for help so that you can be set free from that spirit. It is not good to live fear and bondage. It is not good to be lazy. But it is good to mind your own business and work. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-13 MSG Don’t remember the rule we had when we lived with you? “If you don’t work , you don’t eat.” And now we’re getting reports that a bunch of lazy good-for-nothings are taking advantage of you. This must not be tolerated. We command them to get to work immediately-no excuses, no arguments- and earn their own keep, Friends, don’t slack off in doing your duty.

The Good News

Isaiah 53:1 New Living Translation (NLT)

53 Who has believed our message?
To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?

This photo was revealed me to while I was on social media and it did something to me. I believed it changed me honestly I do.

Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our
transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace
was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are
healed.

What happened to Christianity ? What happened to the understanding that he takes the foolish things of this world to confound the wise? What happened to the tax collectors and harlots entering into the kingdom of God? What happened and where did we go wrong?

We went wrong when we started talking about money more than the fact that Jesus was literally beaten, mocked, spat on, and humiliated for our sins. Our sins. You know all of that time that we fall , commit adultery, have premarital sex, and disobey His word. Us. He died for us so that we could repent and be happy. I have to ask, is it possible that so many have strayed away from the faith because we allowed it? Did we allow those who abuse and manipulate grace to teach in the pulpit while over looking the true anointed vessels because we wanted stardom? Or is it because we wanted a performance instead of the love of God?

The love of God. The love of Jesus. The love of Abba. He’s Good.

Can we just be in adoration? Can we really just love Him because He died for us and was humiliated for you? I’m tired of religion, Pharisees, and the abuse of the gospel. I just want Jesus. I love Him. I hope and pray that you encounter Him. I’m not talking about the mammon aspect. I’m talking about the fact that He is Abba.

Isaiah 53 New Living Translation (NLT)

53 Who has believed our message?
To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?
My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot,
like a root in dry ground.
There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,
nothing to attract us to him.
He was despised and rejected—
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
He was despised, and we did not care.

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows[a] that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
    crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him
    the sins of us all.

He was oppressed and treated harshly,
yet he never said a word.
He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.
And as a sheep is silent before the shearers,
he did not open his mouth.
Unjustly condemned,
    he was led away.[b]
No one cared that he died without descendants,
that his life was cut short in midstream.[c]
But he was struck down
for the rebellion of my people.
He had done no wrong
    and had never deceived anyone.
But he was buried like a criminal;
he was put in a rich man’s grave.

10 But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him
    and cause him grief.
Yet when his life is made an offering for sin,
    he will have many descendants.
He will enjoy a long life,
and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.
11 When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish,
    he will be satisfied.
And because of his experience,
my righteous servant will make it possible
for many to be counted righteous,
for he will bear all their sins.
12 I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier,
because he exposed himself to death.
He was counted among the rebels.
He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

six-course dinner

Wow. When I think of the goodness of Jesus.

These last few years have been so hard and very difficult. These last few years have been wilderness years and although I have been spoiled, I have had nothing. Literally. I’ve cried, I’ve wept, and I struggled as God has been chastening me and molding me into my purpose. My purpose as His Gomer. My purpose of the surrender. My purpose of all things. But let’s judge nothing before its time. I want to write about something. Something important. Something special. I want to write about six-course dinner.

Some may say I am crazy but people said Jesus had a demon so I will ignore the insult.

I date Jesus. What does that mean? I ask Him “Lord what do you want to do today? Where do you want to eat?”

On this day He told me to go to Red Lobster and the Word of the Lord for my life was Psalm 23 The Message Bible (MSG)

Psalm 23 The Message (MSG)

A David Psalm

23 1-3 God, my shepherd!
    I don’t need a thing.
You have bedded me down in lush meadows,
you find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to your word,
you let me catch my breath
and send me in the right direction.

Even when the way goes through
    Death Valley,
I’m not afraid
when you walk at my side.
Your trusty shepherd’s crook
    makes me feel secure.

You serve me a six-course dinner
right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head;
    my cup brims with blessing.

Your beauty and love chase after me
    every day of my life.
I’m back home in the house of God
for the rest of my life.

Follow Me as I am Honest with you and how this pertains to us as Christians. I hope this blesses you.

You have bedded me down in lush meadows

23 1-3 God, my shepherd!
    I don’t need a thing.
You have bedded me down in lush meadows,
you find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to your word,
you let me catch my breath
and send me in the right direction.

I think a lot of times when we hear the story of King-David we forget there was a time where his brothers said he was prideful, his father and mother had forsaken me, Saul was trying to kill him, Israel threw stones at him, friends betrayed him, and he was a poor man (Psalms 34:6). I love this because it shows love. To think this man King-David went through all of this and still loved God. That’s the kind of love we should all strive to have for God because He is good.

Now think about this (being honest I need this to), all of this was going and David still allowed God to be his shepherd. We mess up in our Christian walk when we believe that we don’t need a shepherd and try to function without one. Or even when the King forgets that they still need Jesus. I just have to put this. Especially in leadership… I was reading a verse in The Message Bible and here it is below

Matthew 11:28-30 The Message (MSG)

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

This is what the Son Of David (Jesus) said and it works together with Psalm 23. All Things.

Death Valley

Even when the way goes through
    Death Valley,
I’m not afraid
when you walk at my side.
Your trusty shepherd’s crook
    makes me feel secure.

Now let me tell you why I love this… I live in Chicago, Illinois. South Side. I began to walk with God and to honestly think nothing and I was not worried. It was later brought to my attention that where I live is literally almost a war zone. I’m not saying this to boast I’m saying that when you have the Holy Spirit you are able to walk through Death Valley and not be afraid. I know because I live it. People may not understand but that’s ok because God does. I understand also. I understand that the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword (I believe God for Hawaii though (Laugh Like Sarah) In Jesus Name!

six-course dinner

You serve me a six-course dinner
right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head;
    my cup brims with blessing.

Now this right here? I felt the ghost on this one. I don’t know what type of anointing oil Red Lobster put in their food but I felt the blood. lol . Honestly It was great, my server was a Christian like me and we were able to share our faith with one another so that was awesome in itself. You will also know that you are supposed to be somewhere when God confirms it with His Word.

I’m back home in the house of God

Your beauty and love chase after me
    every day of my life.
I’m back home in the house of God
for the rest of my life.

I love this because it shows that God does have beauty. When he was here on this earth there was no beauty that we should desire him and because of this Jesus is the only one who was in flesh yet has not sinned. I love our Chief Intercessor. He is amazing. I love the portion of this verse when it talks about the house of God, because we all need a church home. I pray you find one.

Honest

Being a Christian requires you to be a hard worker and to trust God. It allows you to inquire of him and encounter His grace and His mercy. I promise you He is a good God. His goodness.

Verses To Remember:

Psalm 20:7 Some nations boast of their

chariots and horses,

but we boast in the name of the

LORD our God.
