You Shall Drink From The Brook: 7 Day Devotional: Strength While Waiting On The Promises Of God

“God is not a man that, He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” – Numbers 23:19 God is so faithful, but He does something that the world doesn’t. God makes us wait. When we are enduring we encounter different emotions like frustration, weariness, anger, and sometimes we just don’t understand what God is doing. In these moments, where our faith is tried, it is important to lift up our eyes to the hill and know where our help comes from. Psalm 121:1-2 says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills – From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.” In the midst of trials and tribulations, that occur while waiting, we have to stay rooted in the Word Of God. During the time of waiting, trusting in the things of this world is not an option according to Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” While waiting on The Lord we pray, we fast, and worship the LORD knowing that He is going to see us through. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” While waiting, trust in the LORD and know that He will see you through.

THE JESUS LETTER

The Jesus Letter

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s around 6:45 in the morning and I cannot explain the peace that I feel. I just finished praying. When I came out of the prayer I had this peace of God that I have not felt in years. When I was done praying… The Holy Spirit prayed something to me… He said… “You haven’t done this in years. You haven’t worshiped me like this in years.”

Honestly… I feel heartbroken and guilty. Because I know what God is saying to me. Years ago I was on fire and in love with God. I dated Him.. I loved Him.. I listened to Him.. I heard Him. I LOVED HIM !

There was a time that God warned me in a dream not to date someone because he was sent by the devil to get me off course.. Man.. was that true. I spiraled out of control. I left the church. I gave up on God. I was threw… I was done. But in my lowest… I mean my LOWEST ! The Lord came to me and spoke.. He said, “I am the GOD OF HOSEA.”

Can you imagine ? Being so low in sin.. and God loves me so much that He spoke to me to bring me back..

Years.. Years.. Years..

God I love you so much.

This week I hear the Lord saying… “I’m restoring the years.”

God is restoring the years and the time that you cried yourself to sleep. The times people lied and laughed at you. GOD SAID ! “I’m making all things new”

In the midst of this REFUSE to complain ! No matter what you may face today…absolutely refuse and trust God ! Because this is the week that God is going to make you forget the years !

Why I Stopped Buying Expensive Purses For Christ

Proverbs 12:9 New Living Translation (NLT)

Better to be an ordinary person with a servant
than to be self-important but have no food.

Stewardship Matters To God

So many people are begging and pleading with God for financial breakthrough yet, they are not willing to be obedient to God. The Bible tells us to, “much is given… much is required.” There are some Biblical principles that you must stick to in order to be obedient to Christ. This sometimes even involves the clothes that you wear!

Is That Bag Really Worth It

My goals used to be a $10,000 Chanel bag.. smh I am ashamed to even admit that. I have had hundred dollars purses and I was grinding to the point where I really wanted it. But when I became closer to God.. He really needed to convict me to show the truth…

I Was Looking For A New Purse

I have a Michael Kors bag.. that has officially run its course. I mean its done with. I was praying and asking God what type of purse I should get  and while waiting for His answer…. I felt the Holy Spirit convict me…

God would ask me , “Does that brand represent Christ… Is the beneficial to me… Are you embarrassed of me… Do you love me ?”

Did Michael Kors represent Christ ? NO !

Was it beneficial to my walk with Christ ? NO !

Am I embarrassed of God ? NO !

Do I love Christ ? YES !

But God… THEY HAVE expensive purses so why cant I ??????!

No body said you cant fix yourself up. Nobody said you cant look nice.. But is it worth it? Think about your finances .. People are spending $10,000 on Louis V. purses when they don’t even have enough money to buy food. They rely on food stamps and government assistance while wearing $400.. $500 pairs of shoes .. Does that make since to you?

Youtube, Pinterest, and Facebook… ARE NOT REALITY ! People only show you want they want you to see… Not what’s really going on. Don’t base your reality on someone else’s circumstance .. follow Christ Jesus (MATTHEW 6 MSG BIBLE)!

I’m Done With Expensive Bags

Look… God has blessed me to live in a 4 plus bedroom house… It’s HUGE ! He restored my bank account. My pantry is full. I have beautiful clothes.. and a full time job. One thing I have learned about losing everything… Is that it takes GOD TO RESTORE EVERYTHING !

I’m done buying expensive bags… Give me JESUS !

Prayer

Lord help me to steward my finances. Help me to see your perfect provision in everything that you have given me. I love You Lord. In Jesus Name, I pray. Thank God… AMEN !

Love,

15 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR SRI LANKA – DAY 13

Father in the name of Jesus, I come boldly to the throne of Grace for supernatural spiritual release of John 3:16 for Christian’s in Sri Lanka. I pray in the name of Jesus against homelessness and I decree that you have a battle plan, a prophetic plan for your people to live in the last days. You are raising up a generation of warriors in the last days. I pray according to Isaiah 54:17 , “no weapon formed against them shall prosper.” We claim our heritage of Covenant prophetic protection! In Jesus Name, I pray. Thank God ! Amen !

Isaiah 54:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

bible Chapter OF THE DAY

Philippians 1 The Voice (VOICE)

Paul and Timothy, slaves of Jesus the Anointed One, greet you, our friends in Philippi—those set apart by Jesus the Anointed—and we greet the elders and deacons who serve with you. Grace and peace be with you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus the Anointed.

Whenever you cross my mind, I thank my God for you and for the gift of knowing youMy spirit is lightened with joy whenever I pray for you (and I do constantly) because you have partnered with me to spread the gospel since the first day I preached to you.

I am confident that the Creator, who has begun such a great work among you, will not stop in mid-design but will keep perfecting you until the day Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, returns to redeem the worldIt is only right that I should feel such admiration for you all—you hold me close to your hearts. And, since we are partners in this great work of grace, you have never failed to stand with me as I have defended and stood firm for the gospel—even from this prison cell. Before God I want you to know how much I long to see you and love you with the affection of the Anointed One, Jesus.

Here’s what I pray for you:

Father, may their love grow more and more in wisdom and insight— 10 so they will be able to examine and determine the best from everything else. And on the day of the Anointed One, the day of His judgment, let them stand pure and blameless, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that ripens through Jesus the Anointed.

All this I pray, with a view to God’s ultimate praise and glory.

Many come to visit Paul in his imprisonment and listen to him tell the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

12 I have good news, brothers and sisters; and I want to share it. Believe it or not, my imprisonment has actually helped spread the good news to new places and populations13 Word has spread through the ranks of the imperial guard and to everyone else around me that I am in prison because of my faith in the Anointed One. 14 My imprisonment has instilled courage in most of our brothers and sisters, so they are trusting God more and have been even more daring as they speak the good news without fear.

15-17 I am well aware that some people out there are preaching the message of the Anointed One because of jealousies and rivalries. Their motives aren’t pure. They’re driven by selfish ambitions and personal agendas, hoping somehow to add to my pain here in prison. And I also know there are others who are preaching the Anointed from true goodness, motivated by love. They wish me the best because they know I’m here in prison in defense of the gospel.

Even in difficult times, Paul remains faithful because he realizes that the kingdom and the message of the Anointed One are more important than any one messenger. Paul uses his own willingness to sacrifice himself as a model for believers to follow. He directs them to be good and faithful citizens of the heavenly kingdom, no matter what opposition they receive.

18 So what do we do then? ListenWhat matters is that in every way, regardless of the motives—whether pure or shady—the great story of the Anointed is a cause for joy. I will continue to rejoice 19 because I know that through your encouragement and prayers and through the help of the Spirit of Jesus the Anointed, I will soon be released from this dark place. 20 I don’t expect that dishonor and shame will plague me in any way, but I do hope that I will continue to be able to speak freely and courageously about Jesus, and that now and forever the Anointed One will be glorified and placed above all else through this body of mine—whether I live or die. 21 For my life is about the Anointed and Him alone. And my death, when that comes, will mean great gain for me. 22 So, if it’s His will that I go on serving here, my work will be fruitful for the message. I honestly wouldn’t know how or what to choose; 23 I would be hard-pressed to decide. I lean toward leaving this world to be with the Anointed One because I can only think that would be much better. 24 To stay in this body of flesh—even with all its pains and weaknesses—would best serve your needs. 25 Now that I think of it, I am sure of this: I would prefer to remain to share in the progress and joy of your growing belief. 26 When I return to you, we will celebrate Jesus the Anointed even more.

27 So here is what I want you to do: conduct yourselves as true and worthy citizens of the Anointed’s gospel, so that whether I make it or don’t make it to see you, I will at least hear that you continue to stand, united in one spirit, single-minded in purpose as you struggle together for the faith in the gospel. 28 Don’t be paralyzed in any way by what your opponents are doing. Your steadfast faith in the face of opposition is a sign that they are doomed and that you have been graced with God’s salvation. 29 And now, you have been given the privilege of not only believing in Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, but being chosen to suffer for Him as well. 30 You have seen me suffer for Him. Since I’ve been away, you’ve heard of the other agonizing conflicts I’ve had to face. Now you know firsthand the pains of this battle.
