But God… I want to be like her

Modern Day America

We live in a time where social media is so prevalent and it seems like a idol . We have so many different video vixens running rampart and it can be such a hinderance on a Christian woman’s self- esteem. I mean let’s really think about it and be real.. she gets all the likes. She gets all the attention… and she has ALL the money. It seems like everything in her life is so perfect and there is you.

Jesus Is In The Wilderness

When Jesus was in the wilderness in Matthew 4… the enemy took him up unto the highest point of the world. He wanted to give Jesus all these riches.. but there was one thing.. JESUS WOULD NOT WORSHIP THE DEVIL !

See we have to remember that according to Ephesians 6:10-20.. that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.. At the end of the day… according to Philippians 2:9-11 that video vixen that you wished you looked like has to pay a serious price and she will stand before God.

The Bible says,

Philippians 2:9-11 The Voice (VOICE)

9 So God raised Him up to the highest place
    and gave Him the name above all.
10 So when His name is called,
    every knee will bow,[a]
    in heaven, on earth, and below.
11 And every tongue will confess[b]
    “Jesus, the Anointed One, is Lord,”
    to the glory of God our Father!

Just Remember

We are all aiming to please the Spirit of Grace. Surround yourself with The Word of God and listen to Jesus when He tells you to stop looking and comparing yourself to her. Because she’s going to hell for her bad choices.

Prayer

Father,

I come boldly to the throne of grace.. I ask in the name of Jesus that You would restore the beauty of holiness according to Psalm 29:2. Remind us that we are striving and aiming for a heavenly citizenship. Lord not my will but your will be done. In Jesus Name. I pray. Thank God, Amen.

Am I Allowed To Be Beautiful?

1 Samuel 25:3 This man’s name was Nabal, and his wife, Abigail, was a sensible and beautiful woman. But Nabal, a descendant of Caleb, was crude and mean in all his dealings.

My Story:

When I was twenty years old, I moved to California after being stationed with the intentions of marrying someone. He was handsome and made me believe that he “had love for me”. However, God told me not to marry him… I didn’t marry him but I continued dating him. God told me that he was talking to someone else but of course I didn’t listen and…. He married someone else behind my back.

It hurt…

It hurt not only because one of our mutual friends knew and I had to find out by walking in on their conversation. But it hurt because she looked nothing like me. She was light skinned, petite, curly hair, and they partied together. I didn’t party, I went to church but I made time for him. I felt lied to and humiliated. It was even worst because even after they were married he just for some reason wanted to always friend me on social media or get in contact with me….

Then one day… God showed me who I was in Christ.. Abigail.

I listened to God after I got my closure for him, I blocked him… for good this time… and I let him go.

Not only that, I have decided that I am not going to attack the woman he is married to or hate her because she is light skin… God made her like he made me. There is nothing I can do about that. But I trust God… one day I’ll have my David and I’ll be like Abigail with a dash of Bathsheba (you don’t know when to shout).

Why am I saying this?

After bad relationships, you can’t hate a certain ethnicity because a man broke your heart. That’s not the will of God. Eve was the mother of all living. God said his House will be called a house of prayer for all nations…. So that means if you really love Jesus… you have to forgive.

Yes…

It hurt… I cried so many times… If only you knew . But there is a little piece in my heart that still trust God. It may be hard right now…. But its going to get better.

Psalms 30:5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

He Who Does Not Work Does Not Eat

I think we as Christians sometimes live in a smoke screen… and the truth is a lot of times believers can chase fantasies and be over wise (Ecclesiastes 7:16). One issue that I think we don’t address as women is…  Well… what do you do when you have a crush on a man?

Lately

I have been struggling so heavily with this and afterwards God came to me in a dream and opened my crushes mouth and said

“He who does not work does not eat”

Now the Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”

Basically.. God used my crush in a dream to rebuke me and tell me to get to work… Why ?

  • Rachel was a shepherd before she was married (Genesis 29:9)
  • Ruth gleaned in the field before she married BOAZ (Ruth 2:3)
  • Rahab had a house before a husband (Joshua 2:1)
  • And the Queen of Sheba had wealth before she went to King Solomon. The Bible says in 1 Kings 10:2 She arrived in Jerusalem with a long train of camels carrying spices, gold, and jewels: and she told him all her problems. (TLB)

1 Corinthians 13 and Song of Songs tells us that love is so beautiful and it is designed by God to be joy for us. However, with that being said you still have to work.

  • Another dream I had is girls begin to quit their jobs for the winter (8 weeks) to spend time with their boyfriends.

Sis… That’s not going to work out for you. Fantasy leads to poverty. You have to guard your heart and mind. You have to work. And if you do it God’s way (which is the right way) your work and work ethic will put you in position to be married.

  • Proverbs 12:9 Just be who you are and work hard for a living, for that’s better than pretending to be important and starving to death. 10 A good man takes care of the needs of his pets, while even the kindest acts of a wicked men are still cruel. 11 Work hard at your job and you’ll have what you need. Following a get-rich-quick scheme is nothing but a fantasy. (TPT)

What am I saying ?

There is nothing wrong with desiring a husband. You need to be married… So you can stay out of other people’s business (1Thessalonians 4:10-12). Also, there is nothing wrong with having a crush but there is everything wrong with a fantasy…. FEAR GOD INSTEAD.

Devotion : The Truth About Numbers

Numbers next to Colossians and Song of Solomon has got to be one of my favorite books of the Bible. Let me tell you why .

Numbers is clear evidence that God will strike you dead. Sometimes we as believers think that we can just do whatever we want to do and that’s not true ! Actually, it’s far from it. Your sin and disobedience will cause you to die in your wilderness.

  1. All sins will be forgiven except…….

“Listen to this carefully. I’m warning you. There’s nothing done or said that can’t be forgiven. But if you persist in your slanders against God’s Holy Spirit, you are repudiating the very One who forgives, sawing off the branch on which you’re sitting, severing by your own perversity all connection with the One who forgives.” He gave this warning because they were accusing him of being in league with Evil.

2. When God makes up that He is through with a generation …. THATS IT ! There is nothing that you can do .

By this time Eli was very old. He kept getting reports on how his sons were ripping off the people and sleeping with the women who helped out at the sanctuary. Eli took them to task: “What’s going on here? Why are you doing these things? I hear story after story of your corrupt and evil carrying on. Oh, my sons, this is not right! In other words … DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR THE OIL GOD HAS GIVEN YOU on people that God has rejected.

Today , focus on God and who He has assigned you to minister to . Dont give your Pearl’s to the swine ! Move on and get ready to cross over !
