LETTING GOD HEAL YOU AFTER A BROKEN ENGAGMENT

Letting God Heal You After A Broken Marriage Engagement

1 Peter 3:7

New Living Translation

Husbands

In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

Hey Guys..

After praying about this I felt the Holy Spirit tell me that this is a topic that I needed to write on for both name her woman and abundance of peace. For a few months now I have not necessarily written articles.. I have been constantly posting Bible verses… and there is nothing wrong with that. But I believe that God told me to do this and to share a little of my story.

God Told Me To Let Him Go

Honestly… I never wanted to be married. I was not one of those girls growing up who desired or dreamed about becoming a wife or mother. That never was something that I wanted or needed. But I never really had trouble getting a “man”… but I did have toxic relationship troubles..

Constantly, in my relationships I continued to come across the same issue.. Men wanted me, my body, my beauty, and how I looked… but they did not want Jesus. Which means they want me to be one way at church and “pretend” like I am holier than thou there… but when I go home they wanted me to become someone else that satisfies there lust issue.

The Inner War

Yes… I have made bad decisions with relationships… who hasn’t …but… it gets old.. Bad decisions get very old and very tiring. Our generation is very entitled. They believe that they can hurt , be evil, and mean to people… and we’re just supposed to put up with that ? No.. That’s a fantasy not reality..

I began to have a inner war with in me.. I could feel God telling me that this engagement was not going to last… I could feel God telling me that I made a mistake.. that I just had to listen to Him and trust Him.. and He would deliver me.

Basically…

I made the decision not to get married…. And this is why…

  1. If someone has a lust problem.. I cant fix that.. only God can. Deliverance needs to take place.
  2. Little comments of someone saying you’re to “old, boring, or a grandma” can lead to bigger problems with men … Sometimes it’s a small hint that they desire a woman who is sexually inappropriate and more provocative than you.
  3. If someone makes fun of you because you’re a Christian by calling you a “nun”… well maybe they are not really for you…..

I Cannot Change The Fact That I Love God

Ending an engagement hurts… it really does. But if this is your story it is going to be ok. Sometimes when you continue to let people hurt you, make you cry yourself to sleep, lie to you, and make fun of you… they go further and further to hurt you.

Toxic relationships are not healthy. The enemy is trying to make toxic people the new normal… but I rebuke that in the Name Of Jesus ..

Toxic people have to understand that no one has to put up with them… Period.

I pray for people/women… who heart’s are broken right now because they are not getting married to who they thought would be their forever…

Personally

**This is for adults**

God gave me a promise that my husband would be a AMAZING man of God. Which means…

  1. He doesn’t make rude comments because I love Jesus (calling me a nun, grandma, or old woman).
  2. He loves me for me.. I don’t have to dress provocative for him to want me…
  3. He wont cheat on me (such as text other women, lie about being married, or watch pornography).

God Has A Special Plan

I know that God has a special plan for whomever I am destined, purposed, and led by Jesus to marry. I also believe that God has this same plan for you. You just have to trust Him like I did… even if it hurts.

Prayer

Father, I pray that you personally intervene and heal everyone who is crying themselves to sleep over a bad relationship. I pray that you give them beauty for ashes. I pray that you wipe away every tear from their eyes. I pray God that you introduce yourself as ABBA… Our King… Our Savior.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Romans 8:15

New Living Translation

15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.[a] Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”[b]

HEBREWS 11 – SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY

Hebrews 11 New International Version (NIV)Faith in Action11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[c] 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[d]32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[e] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.Footnotes:Hebrews 11:5 Gen. 5:24Hebrews 11:11 Or By faith Abraham, even though he was too old to have children—and Sarah herself was not able to conceive—was enabled to become a father because heHebrews 11:18 Gen. 21:12Hebrews 11:31 Or unbelievingHebrews 11:37 Some early manuscripts stoning; they were put to the test;New International Version (NIV)Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright ©1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® Used by permission. ARE YOU BUILDING YOUR SELF-ESTEEM ON CHRIST ?

The Times We Live In

We live in a time where people are reading more disgusting magazines than focusing on Christ. We have terrible examples for teens and young adults. Especially in the demonic music industry. With this being said, alot of people are leading themselves to hell because of their low personal view of themselves. When you have low self-esteem you are more susceptible to peer pressure because you “feel” like you have something to prove. The Bible says,

Take advantage of opportunities, but guard yourself against evil. Don’t underrate yourself. Humility deserves honor and respect, but a low opinion of yourself leads to sin. Do not let others have their way at your expense; do not bring on your own ruin by giving up your rights. Never hesitate to speak out when the occasion calls for it. Don’t hide your wisdom. Your wisdom and education can be known only by what you say. Do not, however, go against the truth, and remember that you do not know everything. Don’t be ashamed to confess your sins; there’s no point in trying to stop a river from flowing. Don’t allow yourself to be dominated by someone who is stupid or show partiality to influential people. Stand up for what is right, even if it costs you your life; the Lord God will be fighting on your side. Don’t be quick to speak or lazy and negligent in your work. Don’t act like a lion at home or be suspicious of your servants. Don’t stick out your hand to get something if you’re going to be tightfisted when the time comes to pay it back.
